After a short walk from the North Bay the assistants greeting us with the chance of having our picture taken. Due to money constraints I decided not to but if I had the money I would have had it taken prior to entering the Centre. It cost £15 per adult and £12 per child. Which isn’t bad compared to some tourist attractions around the UK.
The first area of the ocean had an open fish tank with views above and below. To see the views you can jump aboard the Viking boat and look down at sharks, Sting Rays and various fish. All of which are well kept and in good conditions. The views are spectacular and you can catch the glimpse of sting ways jumping in and out of the water. Stepping out of the boat and around the corner you can see mini rays camouflaged by the sea beds pebbles and stones, again these fish were enjoying themselves. It is a great way to see fish live in their normal environment,
Reaching the outside area, we were greeted with a small ice scream cafe and next to it lay the penguin pen, A lovely group of penguins were sitting in the sun and the water trickled softly amongst their pool. As I headed down towards the Seal rescue Centre, this is where seals are rescued and cared for until they are well enough to go into the pen and into the ocean. The seals in the pen were happily swimming around the pool and a small play area helped to entertain the young ones. These seals are well cared for.
There is also an adventure playground and mini golf. In the theme of pirates and treasure the golf has many statues near the holes. It is great place for families to spend their time at pirate adventure mini golf course.
The cafe at the end of my journey is upstairs, They offer tea, coffee, burgers and sandwiches. The menu is small but the cafe can seat many people. The souvenir shop itself is a wonderful place to be, however a little bit expensive but the most fascinating items were the 3D postcards which I bought and sent home. It is a unique and novelty way to spruce up postcards.
